When does AION 2 launch globally?
October 5, 2026, as a free-to-play PC MMORPG on Steam and the NCSOFT PURPLE launcher. Founder's Pack owners start five days earlier, on September 30, in Advance Access.
How many classes does AION 2 have at launch?
Eight: Templar, Gladiator, Assassin, Ranger, Sorcerer, Spiritmaster, Cleric and Chanter. A ninth, Brawler, exists in the Korea/Taiwan service but has not been confirmed for the global launch build.
Is the global version the same as the Korea and Taiwan version?
No. They are separate services with separate progression, and global does not inherit any KR/TW progress. Content schedules and class balance also differ, so guides written from Korean or Taiwanese footage do not always apply.
Is there a verified AION 2 tier list yet?
No. Nobody outside Korea and Taiwan has played the global retail build, so any tier list published before October 5 is inferred rather than tested. This site holds its class rankings open until real global data exists.
Do I need to buy a Founder's Pack to play at launch?
No. October 5 is a free-to-play opening and requires no purchase. A Founder's Pack only buys the five-day Advance Access window plus cosmetic and bonus items.
Does AION 2 have redeem codes?
Yes — codes are redeemed inside the PURPLE launcher rather than on a website. Availability at global launch is limited, and Korea/Taiwan codes do not work on the global service.
Is AION 2 the same game as the old AION?
No — AION 2 is a separate, newer title, and the two names get mixed up in search results. As of 2026-09-30, timesaver.gg reports that the 2008 original AION and Aion Classic are both separate, older games, and that 'Aion 2.0' is a common misspelling, not a product name — the 2.0 number belongs to a 2010 patch for the original game. The same source warns that what ranks for 'aion 2' is often 2008 content or seller blogs. Our release date and launch time page keeps the timeline straight.
Is AION 2 coming to console or mobile?
PC only at launch. As of 2026-09-30, timesaver.gg reports that the global launch is PC-only, that mobile exists only in Korea and Taiwan, and that console comes after PC but with no date. So the honest position on console and mobile is still unannounced — do not let a competitor's conclusion stand in for an announcement. Elyos or Asmodians — which should I pick?
Mechanically, nothing confirmed separates them: all eight launch classes and both genders are open to Elyos and Asmodians, and NCSOFT has published no faction-exclusive skill, stat or racial bonus for the global build. The one open question is worlds - the Korea/Taiwan service split its worlds by faction during name reservation, but global allocation is unannounced - so if sharing a world with friends matters, wait for the server list. Otherwise pick the side whose look you prefer.
Do I have to farm or craft for skills in AION 2?
No — mmogah.com answers that one flatly: skills come from a skill point system, not from farming or crafting. Its companion answer on how skills level up says the same thing from the other side, with Skill Points taking a skill to level 10 and equipment plus in-game content carrying it higher after that. How do I trade with other players in AION 2?
They disagree, and we are not going to pick a side for you. As of 2026-09-30, mmogah.com answers 'Is player-to-player trading allowed?' with a flat yes, saying trading between players is supported, while timesaver.gg quotes an NC post-test notice saying direct player-to-player trades are disabled and that the Market remains our central hub. Our own record covers only the test period, where the Market and player-to-player trading are listed as off, so treat the global position as unannounced.
