FAQ

Do AION 2 dungeons need entry tickets?
Reported not any more. On the Korean and Taiwanese service, one-off dungeon entry tickets are said to have been replaced by Odyle Energy, spent per run and redeemed through a reward Cube afterwards. That is a KR/TW reference, not a global confirmation, so treat it as the likely shape rather than a fact.
What is Odyle Energy in AION 2?
A reported dungeon-entry resource that replaced entry tickets. It is spent per attempt, and after a clear you cash the run out through a reward Cube rather than losing the spend. How much a run costs, how the energy refills and whether it is capped are all unpublished for the global build.
What are Odyle Energy Cubes in AION 2?
The reward container tied to the energy you spend on a dungeon run. On the KR/TW service they are reported as a source of unbound Kina, the tradable currency, which is why dungeon runs feed the player economy. Payout values are not published.
Is entry eligibility the same as reward eligibility in AION 2?
No, and the difference is the most useful reported detail. Entry eligibility decides whether the instance lets you in at all; reward eligibility decides whether a clear pays out. Reported KR/TW behaviour is that these are separate gates, so clearing a dungeon is not the same as being paid for it.
How many dungeons can I run per day in AION 2?
Not announced for the global service. Reported KR/TW behaviour is that daily dungeons carry weekly entry caps and that per-period limits exist, but no global cap, reset hour or reward count has been published. Any daily or weekly figure in circulation now is regional or invented.
What dungeon types does AION 2 have?
Four dungeons carry official names and the Expedition tag. Reported KR/TW material adds Transcendence and sealed dungeons, plus daily dungeons with their own limits. Solo dungeons are confirmed as an official content type and were playable in the September 2026 Launch Scale Test.
Can I enter AION 2 dungeons solo?
Yes for the solo instances, which NCSOFT confirms and which ran in the September 2026 Scale Test. Whether solo dungeons use the same Odyle Energy entry model as party dungeons has not been confirmed, so the cost of a solo run is unknown for the global build.

AION 2 confirms that dungeons exist and names four of them. It does not explain how you get in. The entry model that circulates — Odyle Energy in place of one-off tickets — comes from the Korean and Taiwanese service and from secondary reporting rather than from NCSOFT’s global materials. This page separates what is confirmed from what is reported, and marks the parts that nobody outside Asia can verify before October 5, 2026.

How dungeon entry works in AION 2

Official fact The detail
Dungeons are a confirmed system Four carry names and descriptions from NCSOFT’s global teaser site
The four names Krao Cave, Urugugu Canyon, Fire Temple and Draupnir
Their tags Expedition and BOSS, described as a dungeon for up to 5 players
Party-size wording Conflicts with the June 5, 2026 press release: solo and four-player dungeons to eight-player raids
The entry rule itself Not published

The dungeon list page quotes that copy word for word and records the conflict between the two official party-size statements. Both are official; neither is the entry rule.

The global build’s only hands-on evidence is the September 17–18 Launch Scale Test, where solo dungeons and party dungeons were both playable, the level cap was 37, and all progress was wiped afterwards. That confirms dungeons are reachable content. It says nothing about what a run costs, because the test disabled the cash shop, Quna, the battle pass, membership and every payment entry point — and it did not publish an entry rule either.

So for entry, the honest split is this: the content is official, the gates are not. What follows in this page is drawn from KR/TW coverage and secondary sources, labelled at every point, and it describes a model rather than a promise for the global service.

How does Odyle Energy replace dungeon entry tickets?

The reported change is that AION 2 drops one-off dungeon entry tickets for a spendable resource, Odyle Energy. You spend energy to run the dungeon, then redeem the clear through a reward Cube. That makes a run an exchange of energy for a cube rather than the purchase of admission. This is KR/TW reference, not a global confirmation.

Two details make it worth understanding even before launch. First, Odyle Energy Cubes are reported as a source of unbound Kina, the tradable currency, which is why dungeon runs sit on the income side of the economy rather than only the cost side; the Kina guide places cubes in that table. Second, the naming invites a mistake: Radiant Odyles appear in KR/TW client data as wing-enhancement materials, and the shared word does not make them the same resource. Do not assume an Odyle spent on a dungeon and an Odyle used on wings are interchangeable until the client shows it.

What nobody has published is the part you would actually plan around: how much energy a run costs, how the energy refills, whether it is capped, whether it is account-bound or character-bound, and whether every dungeon type draws on the same pool. Until those numbers exist, Odyle Energy is a shape to recognise rather than a budget to manage.

What is the difference between entry and reward eligibility?

The most useful reported distinction is that entry and reward are two separate gates, and conflating them is how players end up frustrated. Being allowed into an instance does not mean a clear will pay out, and a payout cap does not necessarily stop you from entering.

Gate What it controls Where it comes from
Eligibility to enter Whether the instance admits you at all — level, gear or story progress Reported; global values not announced
Energy cost The Odyle Energy deducted per run KR/TW reference, secondary
Eligibility for rewards Whether a clear actually pays out KR/TW reference, secondary
Reward count per period How many times per day or week a clear can pay Reported; global numbers not announced

The practical consequence is simple: “I cleared it” is not the same as “I got paid for it.” If reward eligibility is a separate check, then a run taken after your reward count for the period is used up can cost the same energy and return nothing. That is the kind of rule that quietly wastes a week of a player’s resources, and it is exactly the kind of rule to verify in the client rather than assume from a guide — including this one.

What are the daily and weekly dungeon limits?

Reported KR/TW behaviour is that dungeons carry per-period caps, and a dungeon’s name does not always describe its reset. Daily dungeons are said to be limited on a weekly entry count; sealed and other types appear to have their own gates. Caps, reset hours and reward counts are all unpublished for the global service.

The rewards attached to those types are reported too, and they point at different progression systems rather than at one generic loot table:

  • Daily dungeons are reported to award Enhancement Stones, scaling with how many enemies are cleared, up to a reported ceiling of 10,000. Enhancement Stones are the currency the gear progression guide treats as the second half of every enhancement attempt, which makes daily dungeons a gear-funding loop.
  • Sealed dungeons are reported to pay bound Kina and Daevanion crystals, tying that dungeon type to the Daevanion board system.
  • Transcendence is reported to feed Stigma and Arcana progression rather than raw currency.

When more than one limit applies, the binding one is whichever is lower. If you have energy left but no reward count, extra energy buys nothing; if you have reward count but no energy, you cannot run. That is the structure to test first in the live client, because it decides which resource is actually scarce.

What dungeon types does AION 2 have?

Dungeon type is a progression question as much as a difficulty one, because different types are reported to feed different systems. Only the Expedition tag and the four dungeon names are official; every other type below is KR/TW reference, not a global confirmation.

Type What it is Reported rewards Status
Expedition Standard party dungeon; the four named dungeons carry this tag Reported unbound Kina Official tag on four names; reward structure reported
Transcendence A harder tier, reported as its own category Stigma Shards and Arcana cards KR/TW reference
Sealed dungeon A distinct dungeon category Bound Kina and Daevanion crystals KR/TW reference
Daily dungeon Repeatable dungeon with a reported weekly cap Enhancement Stones, scaled by clear KR/TW reference
Solo dungeon Instanced PvE built to be cleared alone Not specified Official existence, confirmed in the Scale Test

Read the last column as the honest state of things. One row is anchored to official global copy, and every other row is regional. If you are deciding what to farm, the useful takeaway is that “dungeon” is not one activity: the type you pick decides which progression track advances, so match the dungeon to the system you are pushing. The global versus KR/TW comparison explains why none of those regional mappings can be assumed to carry over.

Does AION 2 have solo dungeons?

Solo dungeons are the one entry-adjacent fact that is fully official. Steam’s about_the_game copy describes content ranging from solo instances to large-scale raids, and the June 5, 2026 press release says the same: solo and four-player dungeons to eight-player raids. The September 2026 Scale Test made them playable.

What is unconfirmed is how solo dungeons are gated. Whether they consume the same Odyle Energy as party runs, whether they have their own reward count, and whether they share a weekly cap are all unknown for the global build. If the energy model holds, solo dungeons are the cheapest way to learn a fight’s mechanics before committing a group to it — but that is a reasonable expectation, not a confirmed cost.

What is still unconfirmed for global

Detail Status
Odyle Energy in the global build Not confirmed — reported from KR/TW only
Energy cost per run Not announced
Energy refill, cap and binding Not announced
Entry eligibility rules Not announced
Reward eligibility rules Not announced
Daily and weekly limits and reset cadence Not announced
Dungeon names beyond the four confirmed Not announced
Level and gear gates Not announced
Boss mechanics Not announced
Loot tables and reward values Not announced
Solo-dungeon entry model Not announced

Everything in that table is genuinely unpublished as of September 24, 2026. The four dungeon names, their Expedition and BOSS tags and the party-size wording come from NCSOFT; the Odyle Energy model, the two eligibility gates and every limit above come from KR/TW coverage and secondary sources. This page will be rewritten from the live client after October 5 rather than filled in from regional assumptions.

Sources and verification

  • NCSOFT’s official global teaser site, aion2.ncsoft.jp/en — the four Expedition and BOSS dungeons (Krao Cave, Urugugu Canyon, Fire Temple, Draupnir) and the “dungeon for up to 5 players” line, checked September 22, 2026 (official)
  • NCSOFT press release, June 5, 2026 — “solo and four-player dungeons to eight-player raids”, quoted separately because it disagrees with the teaser party line (official)
  • Steam store page, AppID 3393110 — about_the_game reference to solo instances and large-scale raids, and the Launch Scale Test notes recording solo and party dungeons as playable with all progress wiped (official, checked September 22–24, 2026)
  • KR/TW coverage of Odyle Energy replacing dungeon entry tickets, consumed per run and redeemed through a reward Cube, and of entry eligibility being separate from reward eligibility (KR/TW reference, secondary — thegameswiki and guildmanager.app)
  • KR/TW service coverage of dungeon types (Expedition, Transcendence, sealed), daily-dungeon Enhancement Stone rewards, and Daevanion crystals from sealed dungeons (KR/TW reference, secondary — Fextralife and others)
  • KR/TW client data on Radiant Odyles as wing-enhancement materials, cited only to separate the naming from dungeon Odyle Energy (KR/TW client data, unverified)

Evidence level: Official for the four dungeon names, their Expedition and BOSS tags, the party-size wording, the existence of solo dungeons and the Scale Test’s playable content; KR/TW reference and secondary for Odyle Energy, the two eligibility gates, dungeon types and every limit or reward figure. No energy cost, cap, reset, drop rate or reward value is stated as fact, because none has been published for the global build before October 5, 2026.
