AION 2 Ludra Update: November 4 Release Time and Patch Notes

FAQ

When does the Ludra update go live in AION 2?
The patch went live on November 4, 2026 at 01:30 PST (09:30 UTC, 17:30 Beijing), when a three-hour maintenance that started at 22:30 PST on November 3 ended. The event layer opens later, at 06:00 PST (14:00 UTC, 22:00 Beijing). NCSOFT published the patch notes during the downtime and has not posted a separate completion notice.
What item level do I need for Ludra?
2,800 for normal mode and 3,000 for hard mode. Both modes were available as soon as the servers came back on November 4. The patch notes add a one-hour time limit per run and a guaranteed Gear Change Voucher, but they still do not give a party size or a reset schedule.
What are the Ludra Conquest Check-In rewards?
Seven rewards over a 14-day event: 500,000 bound kina, 2,000 Centuryroot Tokens, 3,000 Phantasmal Fragments, 30,000 Abyss Points, 3,000 Soul Crystals, 1,000,000 bound kina, and the Fresh Leaf Tiara helm on day 7. You check in once per day and can miss up to seven days without losing the final reward.
How many hours of Twitch do the Ludra drops need?
Fourteen hours of watch time for the full track, spread across ten tiers at 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 13 and 14 hours. The campaign runs from November 4 at 06:00 PST to November 17 at 23:59 PST. NCSOFT updated the reward table on October 30 to bundle several items into chests without changing what is redeemable.
Is the Odyle Energy Boost part of the November 4 update?
No, it starts earlier. The boost runs from the October 28 maintenance to the November 10 maintenance, delivering four Odyle Energy per account per day by in-game mail. NCSOFT raised it from the original announcement to 4x on October 27, and each mail expires seven days after it arrives.
What is the Ludra Hunt and can solo players join it?
The Ludra Hunt is a first-clear race for hard mode Ludra, with titles for the first 20 parties per region and a participation title for everyone who clears normal or hard mode during the event. It runs from the November 4 maintenance to the November 24 maintenance, in Europe, NA East, NA West, South America and Asia. Nothing in the notice describes a solo bracket.
What else changed in the November 4 patch?
Chaotic Outer Reshanta opened as a level 45 standardized-stat PvP zone with a three-hour weekly timer; artifact sieges dropped from three per week to two, on Thursday and Saturday; field bosses respawn every 11 hours instead of 12; expedition rewards moved up to normal tier; and True Dragon and Star Dragon crafting gained 100% success recipes.

The Ludra update is live. NCSOFT took the servers down at 22:30 PST on November 3 for a scheduled three-hour maintenance and brought them back at 01:30 PST on November 4 — 09:30 UTC, 17:30 in Beijing. The patch notes went up at 07:26 UTC, while the servers were still down. This page was rebuilt at 19:10 Beijing on November 4, after that window closed.

The event layer runs on a different clock. The check-in, Twitch Drops and both community events open at 06:00 PST on November 4 — 14:00 UTC, 22:00 in Beijing — about three hours after the servers returned. If you are reading this before 22:00 Beijing, the raid is up but the login track is not.

AION 2’s November drop is built around one raid boss, but the patch is wider than the raid: the same build adds a standardized-stat PvP zone, cuts the artifact siege schedule, retunes field boss timers and adds guaranteed-success crafting. Ludra is still the headline.

When does the Ludra update go live?

The patch went live at 01:30 PST on November 4 (09:30 UTC / 17:30 Beijing). The maintenance notice, published November 3, gives a three-hour window beginning 22:30 PST on November 3, which is 07:30 CET on November 4.

Zone Maintenance starts Servers back Event layer opens
Pacific (PST) November 3, 22:30 November 4, 01:30 November 4, 06:00
Central European (CET) November 4, 07:30 November 4, 10:30 November 4, 15:00
UTC November 4, 06:30 November 4, 09:30 November 4, 14:00
Beijing (UTC+8) November 4, 14:30 November 4, 17:30 November 4, 22:00

Two clocks matter, and they are not the same one:

  • Raid open: 01:30 PST, when maintenance ends. Abyssal Forge: Ludra is part of that build.
  • Event layer open: 06:00 PST, when the check-in, Twitch Drops and both contests begin.

NCSOFT has not posted a separate “maintenance completed” line on the notice as of 19:10 Beijing. If you still cannot log in well past 17:30 Beijing, that is outside the announced window rather than part of it, so check the notice board and the server status and maintenance page. The Ludra Hunt uses “after maintenance” as its start and November 24 before maintenance as its end, which is the same boundary.

The conversions use the printed PST and CET lines. PST is UTC-8, since US daylight time ended on November 1.

What shipped in the November 4 patch notes?

One raid with two difficulties, both open on day one, plus a PvP zone and a set of system changes. Normal requires 2,800 item level and hard requires 3,000, and both are immediately available rather than hard mode being time-gated. Each run has a one-hour time limit. Hard mode is aimed at top-tier players, but normal drops the same types of items at lower rates, so a group that cannot clear hard still progresses.

Drop Notes
Ludra’s Weapon, Guard (Bound) Main gear drops
Ludra’s Bracelet (Bound) Can be amplified to +5
Abyssal Bracelet (Bound) Can be amplified to +3
Sealed Abyssal Waves Wings Sealed wing item
Artwork: Abyssal Ludra Collection item

Both difficulties also guarantee a Gear Change Voucher (Bound), and each adds its own voucher: normal guarantees the Ludra version, hard guarantees the hard version. The vouchers convert through Substance Morph:

  • 6 × Gear Change Voucher: Ludra → Ludra’s Bracelet
  • 3 × Gear Change Voucher: Ludra (Hard) → Ludra’s Bracelet
  • 2 × Gear Change Voucher: Ludra → 1 × hard voucher
  • A Gear Change Voucher can also morph into the Abyssal Forge: Weapon Selection Chest (Bound)

Hard mode first clears go into the regional Hall of Fame.

The rest of the patch is not raid content, and some of it changes weekly routines:

  • Chaotic Outer Reshanta opens at level 45 with stats, skills and Stigmas standardized, a three-hour weekly base timer extendable with Outer Entry Stones, and Abyss Points from PvP cut by 50%.
  • Artifact Siege drops from three runs a week to two, on Thursday and Saturday at 21:00, while Abyss Corridor awards 50% more AP per run. The three artifact bosses move to Thursday and Saturday at 21:30.
  • Field bosses respawn every 11 hours instead of 12; Argo now appears twice a day, at 10:30 and 22:30.
  • Expedition rewards (Draupnir, Vakron Sky Island, Ferocious Horn Den) move up to normal tier, with Kina diminishing from 100% to 20% between 40 and 71+ clears.
  • Crafting gains 100% success recipes for True Dragon and Star Dragon gear; the results are bound, cannot trigger a COMBO and cannot be traded, and the old recipes stay.
  • Quality of life: pet souls can drop directly from Expeditions and Transcendence, the Item Source window shows dungeon difficulty, and the color palette accepts hex input.

For where 2,800 sits in the current curve, the endgame guide and the gear progression guide cover the steps below the gate; the launch patch notes page tracks the previous build. If you are short of 3,000, the Odyle boost below is the fastest lever NCSOFT is handing out.

What are the Ludra Conquest Check-In rewards?

Seven rewards across a 14-day event, claimed one per day. The check-in runs from November 4 at 06:00 PST to November 17 at 23:59 PST, and each check-in unlocks the next day’s reward rather than letting you pick. Because there are only seven rewards in fourteen days, you can miss up to seven days and still finish the track.

Day Reward Qty
1 Bound Kina 500,000
2 Centuryroot Token (Shugo Coin) 2,000
3 Phantasmal Fragment (Nightmare Coin) 3,000
4 Abyss Points 30,000
5 Soul Crystal 3,000
6 Bound Kina 1,000,000
7 Fresh Leaf Tiara (Helm) x1

The helm on day 7 is the only cosmetic in the list; the rest is currency and upgrade material, and all of it is bound. The two kina days together pay 1.5 million, which is the largest single injection in the track and lands on day 6, four days before the check-in closes. The patch notes call the helm the Fresh Leaf Tiara while the October 23 announcement used Lush Leaf Tiara — same slot, same reward, two names.

How does the Odyle Energy Boost work?

Four Odyle Energy per account per day, by mail, from October 28 to November 10. This one started before the update and is the preparation phase for it. Log in once a day, open the in-game mail, and claim the delivery; there is one delivery per account per day and each mail expires seven days after it arrives.

NCSOFT edited this section on October 27, raising the amount to 4x Odyle Energy per account per day. The event ends at the November 10 maintenance in Pacific time, which is November 11 in Europe and Beijing. Odyle Energy is the entry currency for dungeons, so the practical use is banking runs before the raid — the dungeon entry and Odyle Energy guide explains the caps and where the energy goes.

What are the Ludra Twitch Drops?

Ten tiers, fourteen hours, and a much heavier reward list than the Halloween campaign. The track runs from November 4 at 06:00 PST to November 17 at 23:59 PST, the same window as the check-in.

Watch time Reward Qty
1 hour Battle Support Chest (Bound) x1
2 hours Skin Chest (10 Times) (Bound) x3
3 hours Mysterious Pet Chest (Bound) x3
4 hours Customization Chest (Bound) x1
6 hours Soul Codex Chest (Bound) x1
8 hours Odyle Energy (Bound) x6
10 hours Content Usage Ticket Selection Chest (Bound) x1
12 hours Pixel Glasses x1
13 hours Rare Theostone Chest (Bound) x2
14 hours Black Conical Hat (Skin: Helm) x1

Three of those tiers are boxes, and the announcement lists their contents separately:

Chest Contents Qty
Battle Support Chest Resurrection Spiritstone / Battle Enhance Scroll / Artisan’s Roasted Fogus x15 / x10 / x20
Customization Chest Customization Voucher / Appearance Change Voucher x3 / x1
Soul Codex Chest Soul Codex / Soul Codex: Reset x15 / x6

NCSOFT updated the Twitch section on October 30 to combine several items into these boxes and stated that “the items that are redeemable have not changed”, so a pre-update screenshot of the table is out of date but not wrong about the payout. The same account-linking rules as the Halloween campaign apply, and the Halloween drops guide walks through the link check, the Steam-icon step and the claim window. The pet chest feeds the pet system if you have not started one yet.

What is the Ludra Hunt?

A first-clear race for hard mode, with titles for the first 20 parties per region. It runs from November 4 after maintenance to November 24 before maintenance in Pacific time (November 25 in Europe), across Europe, NA East, NA West, South America and Asia.

Rank Eligible players Title
Rank 1 10 players per region (first party to clear hard mode) The First to Slay Ludra
Rank 2 40 players per region (2nd to 5th parties) Ludra’s Conqueror
Rank 3 150 players per region (6th to 20th parties) Ludra’s Vanquisher
Universal Everyone else who clears normal or hard mode Ludra’s Nemesis

Rank 1 to 3 titles carry a purple decorative effect. Titles are only awarded if the kill happens during the event window and are mailed no later than December 2 at 23:59 PST. The per-region player counts imply ten-player parties, since 40 players covers four parties and 150 covers fifteen, which together with the first party gives the stated 20.

What are the two community events?

A screenshot contest and a server-wide dungeon milestone. Both start November 4 at 06:00 PST and close November 17 at 23:59 PST.

The Ludra Outfit Contest asks for one unedited in-game screenshot of an outfit that represents Ludra, submitted through the official Discord with your region, server and character name. AI images, edits and multiple entries are excluded. It is open to Europe, NA East, NA West and South America — Asia is missing from this one even though it appears in the Ludra Hunt. Prizes are 6,000 Quna for first, 3,000 for second, 1,000 for third, 3,000 for the community vote and two Customization Vouchers for participation, mailed by November 25 at 23:59 PST. Outfit pieces and dyes are covered in the outfits and wardrobe guide.

Daeva Bootcamp counts dungeon clears across all five regions toward global milestones: 500,000, 1,250,000, 3,000,000, 5,000,000 and 7,000,000 clears. Eligible dungeons are Conquest normal and hard (Krao Cave, Draupnir, Urugugu Canyon, Vakron Sky Island) and all Transcendence stages (Shattered Arkanis, Deus Research Base). Rewards are Instant Clear Tickets, Intermediate Training Arcana and Resurrection Stones, mailed to every player as each milestone unlocks and no later than November 18 at 23:59 PST.

What the patch notes still do not state

Several things a player would reasonably want are still missing even with the patch notes in hand:

  • No version number. The update is not labelled 1.x or a named patch, only by its date.
  • No party size or reset schedule. The notes say “Force members” and nothing more; the title counts above are still the only evidence for ten-player groups.
  • No drop rates or stat rolls. Item names are listed, but not their stats, their amplification costs or how the normal and hard tables differ.
  • No hard-mode clear data. The Hall of Fame is regional and fills as groups clear; nothing public confirms a kill yet.
  • No lockout statement. The notes do not say whether Ludra is weekly or open, which decides how fast the voucher exchange actually moves.

The Halloween event ended at this maintenance, and its candy currency was deleted on November 3 at 23:00 PST — 15:00 Beijing on November 4 — so any coins left in your bags are already gone. The Trick or Treat guide has the two deletion dates if you are checking what survived; the December 15 items are the ones still worth holding.

What should you do now?

  1. Check your item level. 2,800 opens normal, 3,000 opens hard. Both have been available since the servers returned, and the one-hour timer starts on entry.
  2. Be online at 22:00 Beijing if you want the check-in on day one. The event layer opens at 06:00 PST, three hours after the patch, and the same timestamp starts the Twitch campaign and both contests.
  3. Verify the Twitch link now, not after the raid, so the first hour of the new campaign counts toward the 14-hour track.
  4. Claim the Odyle Energy mail daily until the November 10 maintenance, and remember each mail expires after seven days.
  5. Plan the check-in around a missed week. Seven rewards in fourteen days means a late start still finishes the track, but only if you begin by November 11.
  6. Run the voucher math before you spend. Two normal vouchers convert into one hard voucher, so a group farming normal can still reach the bracelet without a hard clear.

Evidence level: Official / Global, live patch. Dates, the maintenance window, item levels, drop names, voucher exchange rates, system changes, reward tables, regions and deadlines come from NCSOFT’s Steam notices: the November 3 maintenance notice, the November 4 patch notes and the Ludra Awakens event post. Event rewards and contest rules come from the October 23 announcement, updated October 30. Time conversions were calculated from the printed PST and CET lines. No in-game testing is claimed on this page.
