Quick answer: Buy the Standard Founder’s Pack at $24.99 if you want anything from this page. It carries the only two benefits that are not cosmetic: the 5-day Advance Access window that all three tiers share, and the 30-day membership that every tier includes. Deluxe at $49.99 and Ultimate at $99.99 add nothing but named cosmetics — skins, a weapon skin, a pet, wings and a title — so the extra $25 or $75 buys appearance, not days or power. One rule shapes the whole decision: as of September 30, 2026, all three competitor reports we checked say you may buy only one Founder’s Pack per account, and the tiers do not stack. What is in each AION 2 Founder’s Pack?

The cumulative structure is not our reading of the table — it is how the official listing is written. Under the Deluxe entry the page prints +AION 2 Standard Founder’s Pack, and under the Ultimate entry it prints +AION 2 Deluxe Founder’s Pack. So Deluxe is Standard plus two items, and Ultimate is Deluxe plus four, which is why this page counts ten item rows rather than three separate bundles.

Two details matter more than the item count. First, every entry except the access window and the membership carries the Bound label, meaning these are locked to the account or character that receives them rather than tradeable goods; do not plan to sell them. Second, no tier lists armour, a weapon with stats, or any consumable described as power. Read this as a lead, not as a verified manifest. The list above is expcarry.com’s transcription of what it says NCSOFT’s Founder’s Pack product notice contains, and we have not opened that notice ourselves — the last time we read NCSOFT directly was September 22, 2026, and the teaser site did not itemise the chest then. Two things follow. First, whatever the quantities turn out to be, this is a starter consumable bundle for the opening hours, not a gear set, and the same chest appears once in every tier, so a higher tier should not multiply it. Second, if the Power Shard count matters to you, check the individual tooltips in game rather than planning around a number a competitor transcribed. Is the 30-day membership in all three Founder’s Packs?

Yes, and it is the quiet headline. The official listing puts a 30-day membership in the Standard Founder’s Pack, and because the tiers are cumulative, Deluxe and Ultimate both inherit it. A month of membership is therefore the one benefit every price point shares, next to the five-day advanced access window.

The first two rows are the only two we can stand behind. The rest of that table is the honest state of things, and the reason this page does not tell you what the membership is worth is written out in the next two sections rather than papered over with an estimate.

What does the 30-day Membership unlock?

Seven benefits, all of them convenience and economy rather than combat power. This list is not from an official NCSOFT page we could cite — it is what the competitor reports say NCSOFT published, and we have flagged it as unconfirmed. Read it as a strong lead, not as a promise.

A second report gives the same idea in Steam’s own words. As of September 30, 2026, timesaver.gg quotes the Steam pack page describing membership perks as remote storage, market interaction, and increased reward selection count for dungeons. That the two independent reports overlap on storage, the market and dungeon reward selection is the reason we print the table at all; where they diverge, we have not printed it.

One further line needs its own warning. expcarry.com also reports that NCSOFT’s September 18 post-test notice disabled direct player-to-player trading as an anti-bot measure, which would supersede the Personal Trading line that appears in the older membership description. If that holds, the Market is the trading system to plan around and the membership’s real value is storage, the exchange and the queue rather than trading. How much is the 30-day membership worth?

Nobody can price it yet. NCSOFT has published no standalone monthly price for global AION 2, so the only hard number is the duration: 30 days. Community coverage of the Korean and Taiwanese service has quoted a monthly membership around $15, but no official global figure exists to check that against.

Two things are worth separating. The duration is official and identical across tiers, so membership is not a reason to upgrade — it cannot differentiate the packs. What membership actually gates is the open question, and it is the one that decides whether the line is worth a full monthly fee or almost nothing. In earlier AION services the paid tier has been associated with Market access and with converting Quna into Kina, so the realistic expectation is that membership touches the economy rather than character power.

For completeness, one competitor runs the arithmetic that we are deliberately not running here. As of September 30, 2026, timesaver.gg values a standalone month of membership at $15 and concludes the $24.99 Standard pack is therefore effectively about $10 once the bundled membership is subtracted. We are not adopting that figure, for two reasons: the $15 is a rounded community estimate for a different service rather than a published global price, and the subtraction only holds if you were going to buy the membership anyway. Both halves are assumptions, and a buying decision deserves better.

Treat the membership as a hypothesis to test, not a fact. How do the three tiers compare on price?

They differ in price and in the listed contents. They do not differ in access. All three Steam pages carry the same Advance Access line — Starts Sep 30 — and everyone else joins on October 5, 2026, when the game goes free to play.

Two things follow. First, the launch window is not a premium feature — it is the baseline every tier shares, so nobody pays for extra days. Second, the price gap now maps to named cosmetics rather than an opaque bundle: two items for the $25 step from Standard to Deluxe, four more for the $50 step from Deluxe to Ultimate. Judge those six cosmetics at face value, because nothing published assigns them a stat value.

Do you need to own AION 2 to buy a Founder’s Pack?

No, and on Steam the bundle carries the game with it. AppID 4972180 is listed as a DLC whose base game is the free AION 2 client, and each tier page states: Includes 2 items — AION 2 and AION 2 FOUNDER’S PACK. So a pack purchase is not blocked behind a separate game purchase.

The practical reading is that the pack is an add-on to a free product, which is exactly what the store metadata says: a DLC with a free base game. Anyone expecting a paid client to unlock alongside the pack will not find one, and anyone worried that skipping the pack means skipping the game can stop worrying.

Can you buy more than one AION 2 Founder’s Pack?

Every competitor report we checked says the same thing, and we have not found an official page to confirm the exact wording. As of September 30, 2026, timesaver.gg, expcarry.com and mmoexp.com each state that you may buy only one Founder’s Pack tier per account and that the tiers do not stack.

Why this is flagged rather than stated flatly: three independent sites agreeing is good evidence, not proof, and this particular rule is the one most likely to be enforced at the store. If you intend to buy two tiers, check your own account’s purchase history on the storefront before you commit, because a blocked second purchase after the first has gone through is the worst version of this mistake.

The same reports do not settle whether you can change tier after buying, and the disagreement matters more than the per-account limit itself. mmoexp.com says the choice is permanent; expcarry.com publishes upgrade products for it. Until that is resolved from a source we can cite, the safe plan is to buy the tier you actually want the first time.

Do all three tiers include the same Advance Access?

Yes, and two official sources now say it in different words. Every one of the three Steam tier pages displays the identical line, Advance Access — Starts Sep 30, while the teaser site lists 5-Day Advanced Access inside the Standard pack. No tier starts earlier, no tier is excluded, and no tier pays extra for the early window.

The two spellings describe the same five days, counting backwards from the October 5 launch, so neither contradicts the other. What matters for a buyer is that the window sits in the entry tier, which you can verify yourself on each product page before paying. The consequence for anyone shopping on access alone has not changed: the cheapest pack is a complete way to play early, and it now also carries the only recurring-value item in the set, the 30-day membership. Which Founder’s Pack should you buy?

If the head start and the membership are what you want, buy the Standard Founder’s Pack. Access is identical across the three tiers and the 30-day membership sits in the cheapest one, so the extra $25 or $75 buys named cosmetics rather than days or account benefits.

One honest caveat sits behind all of this. The retail global build has not been broadly playable, so no class rankings, drop tables, or balance verdicts exist to justify spending for power — and nothing in the official item list claims any. A separate AION 2 Playtest app (AppID 4972320) appeared on Steam on August 26, 2026, so limited playtest access has existed, but no verified performance or balance data has been published from it. Buying a pack is buying time, cosmetics and a month of membership, not an advantage anyone can currently quantify.

The two cosmetic systems that decide the Deluxe and Ultimate rows are the pets guide for the Black Dragon and the wings guide for the Blazing Sun Wings — both worth reading before paying four times the entry price for a look you may not use.

Is AION 2 pay-to-win, and does the Founder’s Pack tip the scales?

The packs themselves do not, by every account we can trace. As of September 30, 2026, timesaver.gg quotes NCSOFT’s position that cash shop purchases do not affect gear progression or long-term power, and its own tier comparison concludes that no tier gives a gameplay or power advantage over another.

We are not extending that into a claim that the whole game is not pay-to-win, because that is a claim about a build nobody outside NCSOFT has played. The counter-argument the same report raises is worth knowing: crafted gear is tradeable on the Market, and the premium currency converts to the earned one, so money can influence a character indirectly even when nothing sold carries a stat boost. That question is separate from the packs, and it is covered in pay-to-win and free to play.

What mistakes should you avoid before checkout?

Ten high-density assumptions sit between a reader and a correct purchase, and the competitor sites publish a named list of them. As of September 30, 2026, the ones below are drawn from that list and checked against what this page can verify from the Steam pages and NCSOFT’s teaser site.

Can you upgrade, downgrade, or refund a Founder’s Pack?

Not announced. As of September 22, 2026, NCSOFT has published no refund policy, no tier upgrade path, and no downgrade option for the Founder’s Packs. Treat the tier you buy as the tier you keep, and treat changing it as unsupported.

That answer is the one we can defend, and one competitor contradicts it, so here is the contradiction in full rather than resolved in our favour. As of September 30, 2026, expcarry.com reports that NCSOFT’s published PURPLE upgrade products let eligible existing buyers pay the difference between editions, at Standard to Deluxe $25, Standard to Ultimate $75 and Deluxe to Ultimate $50, and it also reports a September 16 product notice that revised the refund wording. The same report states the notices it reviewed do not establish an equivalent Steam tier-upgrade product. Directly against that, mmoexp.com states players cannot upgrade later. We have not opened either product notice, so we are not adopting the upgrade path as fact and we are not discarding it either.

Can you upgrade Standard to Deluxe or Ultimate later?

On the evidence we can cite, you should plan as though you cannot. The upgrade products appear in exactly one of the three competitor reports, that report’s own price table is the only place the three figures appear, and no official NCSOFT page we have read lists them. If the rule matters to your decision, the check you can do yourself takes two minutes: open the upgrade or DLC section of the storefront you intend to buy from and see whether an upgrade product exists for your account. If it does, expcarry.com’s table is the better guide; if it does not, treat the tier as final.

There is one platform wrinkle either way, and the Steam metadata sharpens it. The pack is sold there as a DLC attached to a free base game, which makes a Steam purchase a transaction with Steam rather than a direct purchase from NCSOFT; we have not verified any AION 2-specific exception to Steam’s own store terms. A PURPLE purchase runs through NCSOFT’s own store, and no separate terms for it have been published. Because packs are also platform-locked, buying on one storefront and moving later is not an announced option either. Is a Founder’s Pack worth it if the game is free?

It is worth it if you value five early days and a month of membership at more than $24.99, and it is not worth it if you are buying to avoid falling permanently behind. The global service launches as a fresh start for everyone, so the September 30 head start is a head start rather than a wall.

The case for buying is now slightly stronger than it was when only the price was known. A player in on September 30 can hold a desirable name, supply the earliest crafters, and arrive on October 5 with a month of membership already running. The case against is unchanged: the game costs nothing on October 5, the global build inherits no progression from the Korean and Taiwanese service that has run since November 19, 2025, and five days is a small slice of an MMORPG lifespan. One thing the pack is not, whatever the arithmetic: it is not a discount on the game. There is no game to discount, because the client is free from October 5 and every pack item is Bound. The only lines in this comparison that are certain are the three prices, the ten listed items and the shared access window; everything a competitor adds on top of that is a lead worth checking, not a number to budget with. That is why the membership section above stops where it stops.

Worth separating from the pack question entirely: the free newsletter rewards. Which storefront should you buy from?

Whichever launcher you intend to play through, because the pack is platform-locked. A Steam purchase unlocks Advance Access through Steam, and a PURPLE purchase unlocks it through the NCSOFT launcher. No transfer path between the two has been announced, so this choice is effectively permanent.

On October 5 the lock stops mattering for access, because the game is free on both clients. It still matters for where your bundled items live, and it now matters more than before: ten listed items per top tier, all of them Bound and all of them delivered to the storefront account that bought them.
